We spent a few days in the rural village of Monti in Bizana, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Where we met a 10 year old boy called Boy. This is a 2 part short video series of Boy and his friend in their natural environment. They are both orphans in the village who's parents died of HIV/AIDS related illnesses. They are both raised by their older teenage siblings who rely on government grants to make ends meet. What we really enjoyed about filming this was spending time with the boys on our visit. Seeing how their childhood innocence is still so intact against all the odds that they face. On worldly standards; the story of their lives does not match the happiness that they exert. It made us feel like we should have a wider outlook on life because happiness is proving to always be where you choose it to be.
