Sea brought nostalgic memories to me as my hometown was located by the sea. Sea made me excited with her sparkling water waves. However, the fact is that I become a coward when I go into the water. I could not even swim and the only action that I could do was to struggle to breathe and flounder in the water.
Nonetheless, I loved the sea. In time, my fear vanished and I missed the beautiful sea again. I filmed this video in an artist residency in July 2018 in Rota, Spain, and in October 2018 in Scotland. I had written a short synopsis about my double-sidedness feeling in Glasgow where I am currently living and shot this story in a small town: Rota, Spain last summer and in Scotland. This video shows my confused feelings about myself. I like myself but I also hate myself, I sometimes feel the coexistence of emotions that can’t actually coexist together.
