Take a breath
Installation; digital print 70x100cm x 2, video projection, sound, colored pigments
Anxiety induced by fear battles with what realistically threatens us and with what we internally experience. We are accompanied by a constant state of emotional tension. We feel it somatically, falling into increasing panic. Our emotional state is no longer stable; we balance between preparing to fight, fleeing, and a state of complete stillness. Reality, along with popular culture, stimulates our apocalyptic imagination. As recipients, we are saturated with alarming news about impending dangers, caused by humans and their extremely irresponsible decisions.
Previous speculations and pessimistic forecasts regarding the survival of the human species are turning into a state of actual threat. Our future is determined by individuals who hate humanity and themselves, pushing us into an era of misanthropy and deep pessimism. How can we survive in a world where we are self-destructing? We harm not only the environment and the entire planet but also each other. We have lost faith in humanity. The poisoned earth produces toxic crops that affect our toxic relationships and connections. The surrounding reality is built on fear and anxiety about ourselves – about humans.
I am afraid, just like you, I no longer want to "have",
I want to "be".
