I would like to achieve a video installation: I woul like to position the video in three chennel at the same time in a little space like a little chapel of a church Each video is in loop an they must start staggered.
Video confinement marks
a boundary between us and nature in the pandemic moment. The video was
shot by me in my
house during the first lockdown:
it takes a tree outside the window of my room, but filtered by the grates of
the parapet, bars to signify that we are separated from nature and that, even
if we, in this period, have remained closed in the house, limited in our
movements and in our freedom, nature
continued its course without suffering mutations or damage. The house, a
construction made by man and, in this case, a continuation of my body and my
identity, stands towards nature as an intrusive object that often limits it. But nature still continues its course. While we inmates in the house suffered nature continued
its
way. While our entity
of men was
at risk of extinction,
nature continued to live. Especially in spring, when
everything blooms again, we found ourselves imprisoned. Often there are shots
in the accelerated shots, they signify the shots of our life when it runs
frantically, as opposed to the slowness of life during the lockdown. The bars
that filter the image of the tree are essential to mark that difference with
the inclusiveness between man and the natural world with which video art
often stands towards nature. The speeding up of the passage of time then marks
the feeling of a nature that, contrary to our condition in the lockdown,
continues to flourish and continues throughout the day as a warning to our intrusiveness
that has produced a sort of rebellion of the same nature towards us.
