Parisiens en vrac is an ongoing series of short films depicting Paris' Place de la République and the people who inhabit it throughout the seasons. Since the beginning of 2022 I have been making regular pilgrimages to the most public of Paris' public spaces to film the people there as they dance, eat, drink, sleep, protest, kiss, hydrate, skate, sit, sunbathe, hobble, run, chat, wait, cycle, shout, work, play, and use the space in so many different ways and make it unique. At the end of each season I have taken the videos shot on my SONY handycam and compiled them into short, whimsical films that sway to the music of Django Reinhart.
This film is the second of the series, shot between May and August 2022.
