In the video Liquors Balance I refer both to the topic of the liquid and to the company-related production processes of medical shunts mplants and valves for pressure equalization in hydrocephalus. In their production workshops and laboratories of a medical enterprise I photographed and filmed the production processes and the use on the body and combined them with pictures from my archive on the subject of the liquid, balance and dance. From the field of neurosurgery, additional moments in the use of implants on humans are artistically processed, as well as dance-like images of balancing. The moving images of heads and bodies in water reflect the floating and fluctuating moment of unstable balance in the liquid element. There is no location and no hold in space and time. Floating figures in the water lose their balance in peculiar, almost weightless movements, falling, swimming, groping, trying to keep their balance. A subtle play with unusual perspectives above and below the water makes the viewer's point of view waver again and agains, a kind of 'water level in the head'. T
