The artist collective Senganamo raises questions about the physical and the metaphysical concept of the negative space. Reimagining the ancient displacement experiments of Archimedes with giant containers of earthen clay slip, the constant inversion and reversion of the positive and negative creates a metaphoric cycle of transformation and rebirth. As if embryonic fluid, the slip yields to the human form allowing it to reveal while giving it space to recede, a constant rebirthing itself.
