Laudes - The Night of Liturgical Color
White in the morning, purple at noon and red at night - experience the liturgical colors at daytime. The church interior is bathed in red and green. The bridal hall is filled with the music of the first morning hour, the Laudes. Visitors to the Kreuzkirche experience a special and unique interplay of color, dance and moving images with all their senses. At the same time, the liturgical colors that run through the entire church year come to life in one night. Iris de Boor transforms colors into performance and dance. Corinna Rosteck opens the church space with her video installation and, with the moving images on the antependium, altar and apse, exposes herself to the dialogue with the colors in and the architecture of the room. Organ and percussion interact on light, dance and image and accompany the visitors through the night with musical improvisation. Every hour on the hour between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. the color changes, a liturgical color is interpreted by the pastor Barbara Neubert in a reading, one can climb the church tower, linger and let the atmosphere work.
