Evocator is a video artwork, based on the original composition of the same name. Inspired by the idea of multiple streams of wind, each with unique voices singing different melodies, the composition echoes the concept of counterpoint, where independent melodies harmonize. The piece utilizes six channels of field recordings of winds, isolating narrow frequency ranges to reveal human-like sounds that resemble singing. This technique draws inspiration from EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) in ghost hunting. The video features textual poems influenced by the imagery of winds against evocative landscapes. It incorporates a computational visual aesthetic consistent with previous works in the "water series” of the universe [O8kk].
