Video Art notebook: denunciation of sexual violence against girls in Brazil. The Childhood Inventory unleashes the class and racial inequality manifested against Brazilian children, exploring the distance between the puerile experiences of the artist, a white middle-class woman raised in a hegemonic culture, and the sad case of a ten-year-old girl age that she was raped and became pregnant. She was doubly victimized by the Brazilian legal system, as her legal right to abortion was prevented by a judge and a public prosecutor. The judge also ordered that the girl be removed from the family and sent to a public shelter.
