Matterhorn in Switzerland is considered by many the most beautiful mountain of the Alps. As trained geologist I can agree with this judgement despite the fact that its rocks are utterly difficult to sample. For its gorgeousness I chose one of the most pompous music pieces ever composed: Marc-Antoine Charpentiers Prelude of his Te Deum (Thee God we praise), first performed in 1692 and hijacked by Eurovision in 1954.
My coloration is special, because it includes a unique option provided in Photoshop: Color inversion. This makes my Matterhorn look unusual to connaisseurs: The snow-covered slopes appear in black and the dark rock flanks in white. To most of us this is barely noticeable: Matterhorn‘s unique shape obviously is its most distinct characteristic.
