“Noise” is the title of one of the last works that Ale Senso painted in Berlin. The artist aimed to depict our wish to “step out of ourselves” to project our spirits somewhere else, which is a very common aspiration in the modern society.
According to Ale Senso, the feeling of instability, that so many people feel nowadays, is connected to our confinement in “bubbles”, created by the failure of the so - called “social elevator” – as result of the progressive casualization of workers – but also by the notorious phenomenon of social distancing.
This is actually triggering our quest for something outside ourselves, projecting “the self” far away. The empathy, that used to connect the people, is now worn-out and consumed: the delicate harmony that once linked everybody turned into a cacophony, a formless noise that gives the title to this artwork: a social commentary with a powerful emotional impact.
