Martin Luther King
This painting is a tribute to the courageous leader and human rights activist. I use bright vibrant colours to reflect his bold and courageous life. It is painted in the urban art style which in this case signifies that he really was a man of the people. Nevertheless, I use purple to represent royalty or respect, as he was a great leader.
My style of using bright pastel colours to paint portraits is also a way of promoting anti-racism: my colours reflect the soul or passion of the person, which is universal and unites all people of every race or colour.
