The symbol“∞”represents infinity in mathemetics. In Latin, in science, in theology, and in philosophy, this symbol also conveys the concept of endlessness and greatness. In this artwork, “Dancing with Nature”, three sets of symbol“∞” are transformed and intertwined to express the way that National Museum of Natural Science guides visitors in learning from nature in daily life, exploring the fun of infinity with a scientific approach, and cultivating scientific knowledge and an attitude of curiosity toward life.
“Dancing with Nature” was constructed with elegantly curving stainless steel with the intention of expressing the vitality and energy of this courtyard space. Its smooth and vivid shapes highlight the infinite freedom of scientific exploration,symbolizing the growth of scientific knowledge without limitation and convey an atmosphere that is fresh, beautiful, and rejuvenating!
