Yesterday is a Beatles song, but it's also the dimension of the past - of how things used to be. And its blue, because we tend to look at the past with a nostalgic look.
The neonwork "Yesterday" is made out of muranoglass, it's a manufactured piece, handmade and stands with the way it was produced for a world which is fading away.
We made en exhibition in October in Munich in the Mucbook Clubhaus : my neon works and paperworks in dialogue with trickfilm cels from "Pico and Columbus" , a trickfilm from 1992 frim Dr. Michael Schoemann. It took 24 drawings/cels for 1 second of Trickfilm and altogether six years to produce it. What a different notion of time.
