Pieces of collapses buildings intervened with fragments of old maps and
handmade topographies
I pick up pieces of
collapsed buildings, brick fragments or concrete structures throughout the
city. Then I paste outdated maps, whose political-administrative divisions have
varied, and make scale topographies of the natural spaces that remain, around
which the borders are built.
Is it possible to
carry out the real cadastre of a city? How to map a space of constant change?
In the city, as on the planet, all limits are illusory or temporary. The
landscape that our senses build, both in our immediate reality and on a macro
scale, is marked by a constant change of paradigms and sensibilities mediated
by culture.
