The Sculptures I made depict the averted and shady side of human instincts of the disintegrating figure, the bodies are meant to awake the recipient’s feeling of estrangement from their comfort zone and to give the opportunity to accept one’s physicality. The reason I chose primarily wax as a material was due to “its fluidity”, which perfectly depicts both transience and malleability of human existence. When looking at the sculptures, the viewer is free to wander along mental paths, where it is often not comfortable for him to visit. This is also supported by the fact that the sculptures are assembled without emphasis on detail, they are expressive, prominent... aggressive even. "Thoughts devour you from the inside. It’s symbolized by sculpture’s “corrosion".
Materials I work with: Plaster, Iron, Wax, Ceramics, Wood
