Travellore

During the past year, we were all disconnected in so many ways from those important to us. For many of us, even though our relationships became virtual as we connected through social media and communication platforms we are able to hide behind our avatars and criticize in a way we never would face to face. As we connect more and more through anonymity, we move further and further apart from each other finding it harder to understand and empathize. Travellore reflects on how even as our world has grown smaller through technology and innovation, we still sometimes find it hard to find each other and a common ground.

The skull is engraved in delft blue and white with a misconstrued and disproportionate map of the earth. Each ear is engraved with a conflicting symbol, the flat earth map and the moon. The skull sits in a golden metal mount in reference to a globe.
