This series of works converges the areas of biology and chemistry with contemporary art. It shows the connections between scientific research methodologies and an artist's creative processes. Working in the field of site-specific installation requires a deep understanding of cognitive sciences and human perceptions. The areas of psychology, neuroscience and philosophy join forces with art. The interpretative and sensorial behavior of human beings in the face of external stimuli is one of the most important elements of this set of works.
The Smell project brings together the areas of biology and chemistry with contemporary art (BIOARTE) and allows to show the links between the scientific research process and the creative process of an artist. At the same time, it is open to the appreciation of the public visiting the museum, encouraging close interaction and the free interpretation of its artistic aspect.
