The sign that remains of us
The story of creation exists in all religions, and most of us humans have read or heard about it.
There are many myths among different races from the beginning of the world.
But the most famous story is the story of Adam and Eve.
God created Adam and Eve as a couple.
They lived in paradise, but were expelled from paradise for disobeying and eating the forbidden fruit.
They were exiled to earth.
Their punishment was living in hardship and pain and need, and this suffering spread like a curse to all their generations.
According to this story, war, disease, death, famine and natural disasters started because of biting an apple.
This story is as dramatic as it is similar to the ancient Greek plays.
This story is mentioned in the religious books of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
With the advancement of science, man today introduced the theory of evolution and the story of a forbidden fruit in old books remained.
Dealing with cultural and social myths and issues has always been one of my favorite activities.
It is a pleasure for me to represent these issues in a different way and I consider the audience as a complement to the work because it can play a role in the process of performing the work.
In the proposed project, a red bitten apple is placed inside a glass cube and an MP3 audio file and headphones are placed under the cube.
The contents of the audio file include:
The sound of a baby crying, human walking, rain, howling wind, Plane take-off, army parade, door closing, chewing food, human snoring, bomb blasting, clapping, laughing,
The sound of musical notes, the sound of a football match report, the car engine, knocking, crying, whistling, people speaking different languages, train whistling, glass breaking, police siren and a collection of sounds that humans make on a daily basis.
The audience can have this listening experience with headphones.
All these sounds belong to what human beings do in their lives, the sounds that remain can be like a fairy tale.
A life imposed on the human race by biting a forbidden fruit, a myth that happens every day but in a different way.
