The Secret Forest Is a Place Within the Soul

"The Secret Forest Is a Place Within the Soul is a sculptural installation created for the Arte Laguna Prize that integrates photographs on glass and is complemented by a sound installation. It is a composition formed by the photograph of a beech forest, 15 meters in length and 2 meters in height, printed on an acrylic sheet. The image has been cut into 30 identical fragments of 50 centimeters by 100 centimeters, which have been affixed to 30 tempered glass sheets of the same dimensions. The collection of pieces is arranged disorderly on the floor of the room, leaning against the walls. Additionally, the auditory space is filled with an installation of ambient sounds of nature (birdsong, wind, storm, rain…)."
