"The progress of Poesy" as an Exhibition space: The visitor will be led on a path along which he/she/they will be embodied in the imagery which poet Thomas Gray uses in his poem. The journey is a walk through the evolution of poetry. Furthermore, the exhibition takes the visitors through a long rectangular space in which they will feel very small because they will be walking in between giant white balloon sculptures of bodies that illustrate the history of poetry and its inspirations like for example Venus (Greek mythology), antic sports, circling troops, etc. There will be special lighting for each giant figure (based on the color palette mentioned by Gray in the poem: velvet green, purple light, etc.). The giant figures will all be white as a reference to ancient Greek statues.
-Performance space: This exhibition concept will also be transformed into a performance in which the big sculptures are replaced by giant inflatable balloons that the performers will wear and use to occupy the space.
