Every person knows the state of "flow" (the psychological concept named by M. Csikszentmihalyi) when we experience awareness, concentration, pleasure and as a result become the one with our activity. “Flow” is the best state to do anything, natural as wildlife. "Flow" is associated with "big" water: rivers, seas, oceans. On Earth, water dominates the land and provides life. The water takes part in any process of human activity. The word "water" connects with concepts of "purity and health": we wash ourselves with water, we can’t live without sweet water. But now one-in-four people on Earth do not have access to safe drinking water. 5 garbage gyres each as large as country locate in the 3 oceans. Nature water both sweet and salt is full of debris and poison created by people.
The metaphor of water "flow" is also present in the mental field. For instance, In Russian language the is a proverb “to go with the flow”. We pollute water with plastic and other non-degradable waste of our human activity — we pollute our mental field with harmful information. In both cases, the goal is to chase for rapid satisfaction, which eventually deprives us of the horizon of the future. As a consequence: aggression and discontent, which as plastic in the ocean became our hated companions. The world has changed, there is no place to retreat — it is time to change the situation. How?
The idea: to
understand where to go, it is necessary to find out where we came from. Our
roots are in different cultures, nations with strong heritage. Free diving into
our cultures, the acquisition and living of values that help to maintain the
balance of consumption and the replacement of natural goods, can become a
medicine from the "epidemic of debris plague". The Culture as a
vector of development will ensure responsibility for our actions and the
installation made of the color of the
ocean water fabric by touch resembling dolphin skin, through the sur aquarelles
fixed on fabric gives a brief symbolic overview: The birth of the Earth planet;
the appearance of mankind and it’s mental culture (The Ethos of peoples);
scientific and technological progress; the conflict between human being and
nature; and the reflection of the noosphere (as an unsub) on the future. The
viewer, touching the fabric and hearing the sounds of the ocean, begins to feel
an acute desire to be in the natural environment: to escape from the city, and
to leap to the water, and feel it. Globus clearly shows that Water is the
"blood" of the Earth, supplying all its "organs", and gives
an idea of the scale of the "debris plague" of the planet (debris
islands in the oceans are indicated by stickers).
Solution: a large art-object made of ecological and sustainable materials will appear on the territory of manufacture. The basis of art-object concept will be an Epos hero or event that is associated with an area where this manufacture is located. A historical study might be needed to find such information. The result is a place of interest that will attract the flow of visitors, who provide the money to manufacture for recycling it’s debris, and create the historical context of this area. The new association of manufacture with art will clear up it’s name from the information debris accumulated during it’s operation. The visitor will be transformed to the ambassador of idea of the manufacture and art union in solving the problem of debris collection and recycling. Art in the form of art-objects based on the Epos " will
hit" in a good sense, will draw the attention of the general public and
will become a patron of the future without debris and ecological disasters. The
volume of debris will begin to decline and gradually cease to be a
"shameful" topic, which was glossed over until it has been reached
It is time
to clean the "flow", to clean the "blood" of the Earth. And
only a pair of Earth ecology and Mental (information) ecology can do it.
the Globus you will find the checkboxes that can be inserted into the globe,
indicating where you want to see such an industrial art-object on Earth.
This will help to see the geography of desires and join them into the Belt of
