The Blessing Yurt is a light installation pouring through the roof top window "tunduk" of a traditional nomadic dwelling - Kyrgyz yurt. In nomadic culture, light coming through the roof window means a blessing, also, it represents fire in the middle of a home, a symbol of prosperity, warmth and light.
The installation also comes with a sound arrangement of water, wind and bird songs, reminding us that humans / nomads always co-existed with Nature. My intention with this art work is to remind us that we should be living in harmony with Nature as our ancestors have and wishing light in every home.
