It is a work using the technique of photography.
The original work is made of metal and has a rather solid presence. The shadow that was born, on the contrary, is very organic and feels like a living thing.
The shadow created by the three-dimensional object in the light was very beautiful and I felt attached to it.
Shadows are cast by combining the solid and the environment, and are different from the original solid alone, and are events that occur only in that place. I was very interested in the series of many events that occur one after another, mixed with the surrounding environment.
However, if the solid is pulled away from this place, the light is lost, or the surrounding situation changes, the event that is happening now will be cut off and another event will occur.
Therefore, I thought that it would be possible to extract the moment of the phenomenon that occurred, and this work extracted only the light and materialized that time as the accumulation of the three-dimensional and light conditions.
At this venue, we gave the role of a mirror that reflects the light from the windows and the information inside the building. I think that the situation that is usually reflected in the frame is often avoided because it makes the "photograph itself" difficult to see.
However, on the contrary, I found the situation interesting.
The light situation in another place became one with the situation in this place, and I felt that the light of the past in another place was swimming in the surrounding scenery.
The combination of different times and lights to create the look of a photograph seems to be a connection between two completely unrelated places and times.
Even in this place, considering that such completely different times and situations and many events that do not come into direct contact with each other are one of the constituents of this place, I'm sure that each of them that had nothing to do with each other is actually this building. It was very closely related to the "now" of, and I felt that each one was an important event to get here.
