In this project the artist explores a side of the feminine dimension suspended between value and stigma where, as spectators, we are free to venerate or desecrate, respect or ignore. From the taboos inculcated in the family and social nucleus, a reflection is unleashed towards what is sacred and what is worthy of being desecrated through a disturbing question. The sculptures create a space that plays between the respectable and the exposed to restructuring, dialoguing with a system of values where the divine and its semantic aspects are put in relation to the present. An invitation to reflect on what being a manifestation of the divine in our daily lives can turn into injury and suffering.
Gilded and polychrome plaster sculpture, mixed technique.
