Spiral Ascension

"Spiral Ascension" symbolizes the journey of progress, a visual representation of the path we follow as we evolve, learn, and grow. Its fundamental form—a swirl—evokes perpetual motion and fluid continuity, gracefully unfolding in an upward trajectory. Each curve of this sculpture is not merely part of a static shape but a testament to an ongoing narrative of ascension, towards a higher understanding or state of being. Just as a spiral reaches out expansively yet stays connected at its core, "Spiral Ascension" reminds us of our rootedness even amid growth and transformation. Through this work, I aim to provoke contemplation on personal and collective evolution, celebrating the intricate journeys that ripple through time, space, and consciousness.

~ These pieces are part of the 10 piece 2023 collection of living sculptures created from living miniature Vachellia trees by the environmental artist Dr. Kasia Sterriker. Based on the concept of “Beyond Bonsai”, this collection is the first and only collection of its type in the world and these are currently the only 10 pieces of their type in the world.
