The title is a pun: sphincs is not a wrong spelling for sphinx, but the abbreviation for sphincteres. It is infact a sphinx with all its classical features, but in the act of defecating. That might not strike the viewer at first, as it might just seem a nice object from the past.
I imagined the mythological creature in a private moment usually hardly described in literature and definitely uniconic: pooping on all human miseries, the human genre not even worth a riddle anymore and Oedipus being now long gone, from the top of her column that I imagined being the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square in London.
