This work was inspired by birds and flight, as an image of freedom.
Leaving the framework is to free oneself from the rules, conventions,
constraints that prevent us from being ourselves ... The artist has thus
created a work full of lightness, joy and light. It offers us an
original vision of the relationship between the frame and the subject,
giving, by contrast, a great dynamism to the composition. This sculpture
is very spatial, and can be viewed with
happiness from all angles.
The title echoes strongly the lockout of the corona crisis, that didn't already began when the sculpture was created.
It is essentially made of wood (Sycamore
frame, lacquered wood bird), with ingenious assemblies of great
discretion. It goes perfectly with a contemporary, or more classic
interior.
