"Sentire" is composed by two elements:
photography and sculpture. The title refers to the double meaning of
the word “sentire” that means both “to hear”, “to listen”
or “to sense” and “to intuit”, “to understand”, “to
feel”. The fragment of terracotta, overlaid on the ear, is almost
used as a substitution of the real body in the photography. A body
transforming in sculpture, a change that suggests fragility.
Two
materials are here pulled over and seem to estabilish a dialogue and
a mutual relationship.
While
the artist offers an ear to listen, the space between the two
elements is a silent gap that can be physically measured, a distance
that maybe expresses an impossibility to communicate.
Il
frammento di terracotta sovrapposto all’orecchio viene qui
comunicazione.
