Scoperta #02 is a fabric sculpture part of a larger project called ‘‘trayma’’:

The work of Scoperta is dedicated to the second phase of the process of overcoming a trauma, that of discovering inner power.
The research from which this work originates combines elements of travel, the skin of a Laotian elephant rescued from exploitation, the immense roots of the trees that envelop the temples of Ta Prohm in Cambodia, and the scars of the stones of an Apulian ruin.
Each of these elements has survived becoming stronger in the violence of life, becoming for me a guide and an inspiration.
The media used are viscose, rayon and cotton yarns that alternate in concave and convex volumes, thanks to my invention in the use of flotté yarns left free within the weft and the regulation of the tension between them.
To obtain this extreme three-dimensionality, no treatments or resins are applied, only yarns.
An application of color from the back, a distinctive technique of mine, bleeding, allows me to draw the volumes inside the scars.
