The installation is built specifically to resonate with the architectural elements in the church. The title refers to the room being a downsized, secular version of the church, and the viewer being at the centre of the ripples, creating his image of the world. The metallic floor(laid on carpet) accentuates the lightness under feet and echo, drawing a contrast to the concreteness of the solid ground once the viewer steps outside. In contrast to the fluid circulation around it, the ceremonial gesture of entering the room and solitude makes it somewhat prohibitive. Yet, such a gesture is rewarded by certain awareness of mental and bodily perception.
