I (want to) sew people together. I (want to) connect, link, bring together. People and places. Me and you. Me and Lisbon. Venice and Lisbon. Lisbon and you. You and Venice. Us and every place. I (want to) create boundless and never-ending patchworks of people, of fabric, of places. I (want to) reveal the world’s inside-out lines: stitched, sutured, nailed, black lines. RED. Red lines inside out. I (want to) tear, break, cut, sew, bind, join, stitch, draw lines. (Re)arrange them, (re)sew them. I (want to) do this with people and with myself. I am constantly seeking and trying to comprehend the (not so) simple task of being. Of being a puzzle piece belonging to a big ensemble that is humanity. What is being and what is living… WITH others. I want to sew with invisible threads that are not cotton or wool threads: they are relationships, visions and experiences. They connect people. They connect continents. But for now, the cotton and wool threads do the job. And so does (he)ART… it brings people together.
