Regenerating suggests the change and uncertainty in the growth of life and the transformation of life with an individual’s cognition by connecting interior with exterior, breaking the boundaries, combining nature and human intervention, and enhancing the dynamics of time and space to form a new ecological relation. As seeds or core of life, the stainless steel gazing balls grow out of the soil and open to become the mirrors, emerging the inside species. The yarns act like blood vessels, roots, or mycelium networks to indicate the continuation and expansion of vitality and show the process of life is expanding and developing from the foundation outward. Incorporated with the sculptures, the organic texture and irregularity of the paintings on tree barks provide a unique effect to hint at the uncontrollability and diversity of the natural world. Audiences can interact with the whole installation work through reflections and shadows.
