"re-cycle"
is an installation based on traditional North American dreamcatchers, made of
recycled hoops, tubes, or bicycle wheels, which are partly floating on the
water(creek/lake). Those objects represent a fractal woven movement,
which goes to the inside of each piece, which in itself shows the natural
growth of plants in opposite directions by going into the centre instead of
coming from the centre. I always have been fascinated by nature's shapes and
phenomena, micro and macro cosmos, and geometrical laws like for example the golden
ratio and Pythagoras' trees. The dynamic of the woven thread inside the wheels follows the Fibonacci numbers and spiral. The objects show an energetic and dynamic
design, which also influences the movement of the water by creating little
whirls around. The installation should contain at least 10 different wheels.
The size of the installation always depends on the offered space.
