"When sea becomes sky" is an installation which tells about a lack we have experienced during the 2020 lockdown.
The possibility of being at liberty in front of a landscape and letting the gaze wander free, without boundaries.
That gaze that Frome the waves of the sea looks up to the sky, to the clouds, without restrictions.
I created a landscape. I painted on transparent material to let the natural light go through the slabs and create colourful shadows which make the artpiece vibrate every moment, every day, every season in a different way.
I tried to recreate that same magic that the sun and the moon create reflecting themselves in the water.
It is a pending artpiece as pending is the time we have lived and unfortunately we have not totally been through.
The installation is composed of 12 painted slabs, floating thanks to an invisible wire of nylon and hung at different heights and varying inclinations.
