The devices are constructed as an iron structure with a bucket of paint, a pump and a metal arm mounted on it. The metal arm is connected to a motor that causes it to move around in a circle. The paint bucket is attached to the pump via a plastic hose. The plastic hose ends at the end of the metal arm from which it drips paint onto a table very slowly. The constant circular movements of the arm cause the paint, as it solidifies on the table, to create a cylinder.
