The series of sculptures recreates the plasticity of materials deformed by external force (in this case, a human hand). Foam rubber was chosen as a model for sculptures, - it easily changes its form due to the physical impact, but persistently returns to its shape. Reproducing the tension of deformed foam rubber in marble, the artist deprives this material its resistance force, making it "freeze" in a bent, subordinate position. Foam here is a metaphor of the human body, which is exposed to constant physical impact. How much force should affect the body so that it loses its resistance?
The project consists of 12 sculptures.
