Nexus is a sculpture that embodies the complex interplay of connectivity and reflection, crafted from the pristine mirror finish of stainless steel. This piece is inspired by the intricate connections that bind the natural world to the constructed environment, exploring the themes of unity and separation, presence and absence. In choosing stainless steel as the medium, I was drawn to its durability, reflective properties, and modern aesthetic, which align perfectly with my vision of creating art that interacts with its surroundings. The subject matter, a series of interlocking rings, symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things, while the abstract style challenges the viewer to find their own meaning in the fluid forms and reflective surfaces. My hope is that Nexus inspires its viewers to contemplate the invisible ties that connect us to each other and the world around us. Through this sculpture, I aim to provoke thought on how we perceive space and connection, encouraging a deeper understanding of our place within the complex web of existence.
