Dissected Pieta, Kingdom and Betrayal, Blending Cultures: is about questioning the meaning behind this loaded icon, about ongoing conversation between the Jewdeo and Christian traditions. It is an homage to Jewdeo tradition told through a very loaded icon from Christian Iconography.
Description of the sculpture: two amputated hand palms, the hand of the Victim and as the same timeof the Murderer. Both handpalms hold strings (Fractaled Tzitzit*) made of human hair. Both hands are covered by human hair.
*The Tzitzit is a knoted ritual fringers which are part of a Jewish prayer shawl, serves as a constant reminder of our obligatio to humanity.
The choice of the yellow color has a very sygnificant purpose, which is to embody the sculpture with duality of meaning.
Yellow, the color of sunshine, it is associated with joy, with intelect, with the Emperor.
