Laser on wire mesh and plaster surface, 30x40 cm
A wavy plaster surface is crossed by beams of linear laser rays which, based on color and shape, redefine the substance of the work. Matter becomes illusory, perception comes deceived and passes through organic animal tissues, lunar landscapes, plant organisms, which depend on the projected color.
The surface, if crossed by a red ray, becomes similar to a layer of organic tissue rich in blood vessels, muscles, animal cells; if crossed by a beam of green light, it becomes similar to a plant organism. The purple beams seem to create a sort of alien, lunar landscape, the blue ones could recall the depths of the sea, while the yellow ones could recall the shapes and colors of mushrooms, amoebas and other organisms and imagery linked to the earth.
The laser beam makes a linear movement from top to bottom of the entire surface, completely transfiguring it, and is itself deformed along the way, changing itself and what is around it.
