Moses was often represented with beams of light coming out of his head, the sign of the Divine presence within his person. To represent in a personal way this iconic figure I have used chillies for the light-beams. The chillies change their shape by nature over time and represent the eternal Divinity, while the mortal remains of the saint are represented by a much more durable material. The two parts the work is made of work make some sense on their own, but combined together they transcend their nature to acquire a new meaning.
