In the large marble, Modern Heroes, we can all recognise Batman and Superman.
I spent some formative years in Rome in my youth and I remember being in awe of the amazing art disseminated throughout the city.
I
still feel that admiration and eventually, a few years ago, I found the
opportunity to combine that classicism with contemporary issues and my
style of art.
I made MODERN HEROES then as my support to the gay community and their struggle for gay rights and equal rights

The
latter stretches out an admiring hand to touch Superman, the gesture is
a reference to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling. My sculpture is a celebration of changes in contemporary society.
