What do we see when we look inward? Who do we perceive our own
existence? Do our beliefs and actions impact those around us or are we
limited to our own societal bubbles? Mirror Mirror reflects on the
existential circumstances of living in isolation and disconnected from
the world around us. It questions the barrier between perception and
reality, fantasy and truth while illustrating many of the fears and
anxieties linked to the global pandemic, public perceptions, and social
responsibilities.
The skull is engraved in delft blue and white
revealing images related to Covid 19 and the public reaction to it. The
skull is mounted to an engraved mirror in a custom gold frame resembling
a coffin.
