Medusa
The medusa consists of 15 trousers, pins, cords and two fans.
It is a translation of the painting by Theodore Gericault, "The Raft of Medusa".
The fragile situation on the raft, where all the survivors were between panic fear
of each otherĀ and dependence on each other, represents the basic situation.
All pants are connected and seem to move easily in the wind of the two fans.
They form a kind of pipe system in which it flows through the air, as in a body,
the blood through the veins.
The transience and fleetingness of life, which is always characterized
by elements of freedom and bondage, is the basic motive of this work.
