Manifesto for clean Venice

“Manifesto,” an art project conceived some time ago: video-installations, photos, sculptures or drawings, implemented in various parts of Romania, and presented in Italy, Portugal and Belgium, it is an artistic socially-implicated approach against the pollution of the environment. It is a MANIFESTO for clean air, clean water, clean land, a clean and saved planet. For this project I used a series of multi-coloured elements (cylinders, prisms, wood posts) that I mounted in the mountains, in the hills, by lakes, by the seaside, in the forests, in the streets, museums, galleries or public spaces, thus becoming for me and not only a SYMBOL/CREDO of the manifesto. The coloured “elements” represent the chromatic energies of the people involved in this manifesto, they are the FORCE and UNITY of action. For the “Manifesto for a clean Venice” installation I used coloured cylindrical elements that fixed on gondolas moving about the channels of Venice. I managed to draw the attention of the tourists visually who should get involved to save this UNESCO heritage site.
