Being 6, InBodied Light

I have experienced immigrations, wars, and oppression. My ‘home’ is divided into four countries in various continents. While the cultures I have been exposed to taught me the magnificent differences between them, the most important thing I learned is how profoundly alike we are. United by our inner light there is an energy field that affects us all.

My story is uniquely mine yet it is also an amalgam of the collective.

It is on these truths that I focus in my art.

I create each sculpture out of clay, make a mold and cast each in resin and bronze. Each piece is unique as in the casting process I add mixed media and manipulate the resin.

I started with maquettes 55-60 centimeters high and have been gradually increasing the height of each new piece. Right now I am working on two sculptures over 2 meters tall.
