I aim to shed light and awareness on the ground loom as an inherited tool that led the role of weaving rugs for each Palestinian home. So this weaving machine chair aims to expose and embed the parts of the traditional ground loom; (Al-Sadu yarns) making up the seat and (Al-Nairah yarns) making up the back. The latter moves horizontally along a tubular wood frame from front to back to allow weaving. Thus, no fabric has to be installed or fixed on the chair's structure. Instead, the parts are exposed and minimal to aesthetically serve the form and keep the mechanism alive and present. The chairs were displayed at Gallery one in 2021.
