Grotesque, recycled animal skins of various sizes, shapes, colors, and textures hang from the ceiling on thick gold chains, with different sounds (heartbeat, breathing) symbolizing the ruthless treatment of animals, wastefulness, excess, and the disruption of values. From these masses of animal skins placed in a new context, headphones dangle in various places. Heartbeats. Breathing. Water dripping. Thoughts. Feelings. Lives.
The sound installation, both in its appearance and intellectual content, reflects on one of the most pressing current problems of our time, industrial animal husbandry and excessive meat consumption.
This installation can also be installed by chaining the elements together vertically, creating a long artwork that stands 7-8 meters tall.
There is no animal sacrifice associated with the creation of the installation.
