The kinetic installation is the continuation

... a completely black room with black light.

* Electricity is used for the motor that hangs from the ceiling. The disk hangs on the engine.
The hanging object rotates in black light, creating a kinetic effect.
Opposite the object, a white, wave-like line structure may appear on the wall as a further irritation.
KONTRAPUNKT
Die kinetische Installation ist die Fortsetzung
von Menges Glasobjekten, in denen eine
eine schwebende Malerei durch tatsächlich
vorhandene Strukturen erzeugt wird. Die
Kinetik der Glasobjekte löst hierbei der
Betrachter aus, der seinen Standort der
Betrachtung verändert.
Die Rauminstallation hingegen erzeugt
bereits die Irritationen, indem der Betrachter
an einem Standort verharrt. Gesteigert wird
dies durch die sich gegenüber liegenden
Arbeiten, deren Gemeinsamkeit gleichzeitig
einen Spannungskontrast hervorruft. Beide
Positionen stehen für sich und dennoch als
Gesamtes. Die Klänge des Kinderklaviers
behaupten sich zu der Atmosphäre.
Das Ergebnis wird besonders in einem
abgedunkelten also schwarzen Raum
hervorgehoben.

Beschreibung des Objektes/Objektinstallation – KONTRAPUNKT
… ein komplett schwarzer Raum mit Schwarzlicht.
… routierende Scheibe*,
an der 80 schwarze Stangen mit weißen Linien hängen.
*Für den Motor, der an der Decke hängt wird Strom gebraucht.
Am Motor hängt die Scheibe.
Das hängende Objekt dreht sich bei Schwarzlicht, dadurch
entsteht ein kinetischer Effekt.
Eventuell kann dem Objekt gegenüberliegend, eine weiße wellenartige
Linienstruktur auf der Wand gezeigt werden, als weitere Irritation.
